OCA County Affiliate Forms and News

Each year the leadership of each OCA affiliate is given a packet of forms to help them with events throughout the year and to keep them informed about OCA events. Packets will be handed out at County Leader Meetings in January or mailed in late January. Additional packets can be requested by calling the OCA office. The forms are also all listed below.

Miami County Wins Affiliate Recruitment Contest

The Miami County Cattlemen's Association was the big winner at the Ohio Beef Expo when their name was drawn as the winner of the County Recruitment Contest. Miami County received their choice of a five foot stainless steel grill or set of Tru-Test scales sponsored by the Ohio Corn Marketing Association. Also recognized for meeting contest requirements was Darke County, Highland County and Licking County.

The guidelines of the County Recruitment Contest for 2012 were as follows: 
  • A county must be a current OCA affiliate to participate in the contest (all 2011 OCA affiliates are eligible once 2012 dues have been paid)
  • A county representative must attend the County Leader Meeting 
  • At least 3 of the 6 goals must be met before the affiliate will be entered into the drawing (New memberships can be counted toward renewal goals)
  • Deadline for memberships to count towards goals is March 1
  • The drawing for the prize will be during the Ohio Beef Expo
Each county will be entered into the drawing when they complete the following (can be entered up to five times):
  • 90% renewal rate of 2011 OCA Memberships for 2012
  • 10% new 2012 OCA Memberships (based on 2011 memberships)
  • 1 new OCA Allied Industry Council Membership
  • 90% renewal rate of 2010 NCBA Memberships for 2012
  • 10% new 2012 NCBA Memberships (based on 2011 memberships)
  • Recruit two new OCA President's Club Members
  • Attend a County Leader Meeting
