Special Announcements
Reminder - No Farm Tags or Identifying Marks. No identifying tags or marks on exhibitors will be permitted at a BEST sanctioned show. This means no farm tags, special show harnesses or marked show shirts are allowed. Only BEST tags, county fair tags, EID tags and brands will be permitted. This rule applies to all animals and exhibitors entered in a BEST sanctioned show, including animals and exhibitors not in the BEST program. If an animal enters the ring with an unacceptable tag or identifying mark it will be disqualified from the show and will earn no points if they are a BEST animal.

The Clark County Cattle Battle will be for Ohio Exhibitors ONLY.

The Clark County Cattlemen's Association welcomes all cattle exhibitors to the Champions Center. This facility is on of the most animal friendly places to show in the Midwest during the winter months with heated indoor wash racks, stalling and arenas.

Friday, February 10
9:00 a.m. - Cattle may arrive 
5:00 - 8:00 p.m. - Check-In 
Saturday, February 11
7:00 - 8:00 a.m. - Heifers may check in. No steer check-in
9:00 a.m. - Heifer Show Ring A Begins, Ring B will begin immediately following the Angus division of Ring A
TBA - Showmanship sign ups will end at the conclusion of the Ring A Heifer Show. Showmanship will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Ring B Heifer Show.
4:00 - 5:00 p.m. - Steer Check-In
Sunday, February 12
6:30 - 7:00 a.m. - Steer Check-In
8:00 a.m. - Steer Show Ring A Begins, Ring B will begin immediately following the Angus division of Ring A

Other Information
  • Entry fee $100 for both rings, $50 single ring, for BEST participants. $110 for both rings, $55 single ring, for non-BEST participants.  Clark County exhibitors will be $75 for two rings, $40 for one ring.
  • **New for 2012 - the $15 tack stall charge has been included in the entry fee this year.  Generous sponsors in our community have also provided discount coupons that will given to every family, class monies will be pro-rated and paybacks will be increased from previous years.  The Champions Center also has heated indoor wash racks, stalling and arenas.  Hopefully the weather continues to be fair and the committee will offer a $15/head discount if you would prefer to work off of your trailer, on the blacktop, and not stall in the barn.  
  • Bedding must be straw or shavings. Straw and shavings will be provided by the show committee. Additional shavings will be available for purchase on site. Stalls will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. 3 head per stall area or you will be asked to move. Please be considerate and use the appropriate amount of space.
  • Health papers must comply with state requirements.
  • Registration papers required for breed classes.
  • Steers and market heifers born after 1/1/11
  • Breed heifers born on or after 9/1/10
  • Steers, Market Heifers and Crossbred Heifers shown by weight
  • Breed heifers shown by age
  • No heaters or generators allowed in the barn
  • Food vendors will be operating in the breezeway area and the Crazy Horse Saloon will be open in the food court
  • Show supplies will be available
  • Show is not responsible for accident, injury or loss
  • Show committee decisions are final
  • Wheel barrows or muck carts are encouraged due to the location of the manure pits and the size of the indoor facility
