The seperate Novice showmanship division will be discontinued & rolled into the existing Beginner, Junior, Intermediate & Senior showmanship divisions. Novice points will be tracked among all four age divisions and the top two Novice showman in each of these divisions will be awarded at the BEST banquet in June.
Cattle classes with over 12 head will be broke more evenly to promote fairness throughout the Bred & Owned and Novice divisions.
All ShorthornPlus animals must be at least 1/2 bloods. This change follows the American Shorthorn Association's national breed requirements.
Any exhibitor, BEST or non-BEST, that is barred from participating in an Ohio show because the were found in violation of Ohio's Livestock Tampering and Exhibition Rules with any species, the BEST program will also bar them from the same time period from participating in BEST shows.
Reminder - No Farm Tags or Identifying Marks. No identifying tags or marks on exhibitors will be permitted at a BEST sanctioned show. This means no farm tags, special show harnesses or marked show shirts are allowed. Only BEST tags, county fair tags, EID tags and brands will be permitted. This rule applies to all animals and exhibitors entered in a BEST sanctioned show, including animals and exhibitors not in the BEST program. If an animal enters the ring with an unacceptable tag or identifying mark it will be disqualified from the show and will earn no points if they are a BEST animal. Show staff and/or OCA BEST staff will not remove any tags. This is the responsibility of the exhibitor.

- Entry fees. Bedding available for sale. Entry cards for both shows will be sold starting on Friday in grandstand office.
- $50 for one ring, $95 for both rings
- At check-in, the BEST Committee will reimburse $5 per animal, per ring to the exhibitor for each entry nominated for the BEST program.
- Class payouts are: $50, $20, $10.
- Steer and market heifers born on or after 1/1/11
- Breed heifers born on or after 9/1/10
- Steers and crossbred heifers shown by shoulder height
- Breed heifers shown by age. Registration papers required for all breed cattle.
- All cattle must have legible tattoos the first time through the chute. If the tattoos are not legible then the animal will be placed in the crossbred division
- Health papers required for all out-of-state cattle
- In case of inclement weather, the show committee reserves the right to prorate all premiums and payouts.

The Allen County Fairgrounds is conveniently located right off Harding Highway (State Route 309) which is just minutes away from I-75.
From Dayton/Cincinnati
Take I-75 North to exit 125. Follow St. Rt. 309 East for 1 mile. The Allen County Fairgrounds is one mile east of I-75 on the right-hand side of the road.
From Detroit/Toledo
Take I-75 South to exit 125A. Follow St. Rt. 309 East for 1 mile. The Allen County Fairgrounds is one mile east of I-75 on the right-hand side of the road.
From Fort Wayne
Take St. Rt. 30 East to I-75 South. Get off at Exit 125A. Follow St. Rt. 309 East for 1 mile. The Allen County Fairgrounds is one mile east of I-75 on the right-hand side of the road.
From Marion/Kenton
Take Harding Highway (St. Rt. 309) west. The Allen County Fairgrounds is located on the left-hand side of the road on Harding Highway.
From Columbus
Take St. Rt. 33 North to St. Rt. 117 North. The Allen County Fair is located on the right-hand side of the road on St. Rt. 117.
